Dutton Recruitment are recruiting for a Purchasing Manager for our client based in Rotherham.The Role (But not limited to):Manage the day to day operations with regard to the buying, stock replenishment, and order fulfilment.Prioritise the purchasing of all goods with regard to the needs of the business.Provide the necessary purchasing information to all other departments as required.Provide financial information for future purchases to allow the company to make the necessary cash flow arrangementsSet systems to provide for monitoring and managing the quality of all products purchased.Effective proactive liaison with other departments as necessary to forecast, plan to meet, and to supply demand to relevant qualityEffective proactive liaison with other departments re operating, resourcing, services as necessary, eg IT and MarketingNegotiating and administration of purchasing contractsCost saving budgeting and targetingSetting and planning how to achieve supplier accreditation and service level management where necessary.Administration and reporting as necessaryAccounting evaluation and financial justificationOutsourcing strategy/development/managementPayment terms negotiation, optimisation and managementStock and materials managementWarehousing, distribution, shipping management and effective liaison with other departments as requiredPackaging and transport regulatory awareness, compliance and information communicationHealth and safety complianceInternational trading issues/imports/legal, awareness and managementCandidate Requirements:Proactive and enthusiastic attitude with the ability to hit the ground running.Highly organised with some experience of purchasing and able to prioritise to best achieve maximum results from available resourcesProven track record within a fast moving, preferably retail businessStrong business acumen especially with regard to helping achieve the wider business objectives of the company.Able to work independently but also a good team player with good communication and interpersonal skillsSome experience of internet retailing would be an advantage but not essentialWell organised with excellent attention to detail and willing to adopt a hands on approach.Ability to manage several projects at one time and meet agreed deadlines.Used to working in a fast paced environment and able to keep a cool head whilst multi tasking.A results driven individual with a keen interest in fashion would be an advantage.
