+ Bringing critical anti-Infective options to patients and physicians

+ Leveraging our expertise and capabilities and working closely with the infectious disease community to address antimicrobial resistance through active stewardship, global policy leadership and innovative surveillance tools. **What can I achieve and what will I be responsible for whilst completing a placement at Pfizer?**

You will have the opportunity to work with and assist the medical team on various projects aimed at educating and empowering healthcare professionals and others on the value of Anti-infectives, the importance of Antimicrobial Stewardship and tackling Antimicrobial Resistance.

You will develop a multitude of skills including:

+ Communication and interpersonal skills through liaising with colleagues and external stakeholders

+ Organisational and project management skills through working on a variety of projects

+ Presentation skills by discussing your work at meetings

+ Teamwork skills through your role in various matrix teams.It is also a fantastic way to obtain a better understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and the types of roles it has to offer.Other responsibilities will include:

+ Involvement in medical team projects within the anti-infective therapy area working with other cross-functional teams when appropriate. This will include planning and delivering educational projects for both internal and external stakeholders.

+ Helping the medical team to stay abreast of relevant published literature and developments in the anti-infective therapy area, by reviewing and summarising key information.

+ Helping the medical team in activities related to improving awareness of the pharmaceutical industry (ABPI) code of practice and other compliance related processes.

+ Assist the Medical team with key projects and deliverables aligned with the medical operating plans

There may be opportunities to work with people from other departments including fellow undergraduate trainees. For instance this may involve collaborating with other trainees and colleagues in various projects; previous students have worked with marketing and corporate affairs teams on educational projects and also been able to obtain Yellow Belt qualifications in the Lean Six Sigma Approach by improving the efficiency of a certain task or process. You will also get opportunities to attend conferences, meetings and training in relation to the projects that you work on.

**When can I start?**

Placements will start on 1st September 2020 and will run for 12 months.


Type of person we are looking for, in relation to ' **Skills** ', ' **Knowledge** ' and ' **Motivation** ':

+ On target for a 2:1 Degree Classification in a health or science related field

+ Able and confident to challenge the status quo

+ Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills

+ Ability to use initiative and work effectively in a team environment

+ Strong Maths and English skills

+ Confidence to liaise with Pfizer personnel at all levels

+ Ability to generate creative and innovative ideas

+ Excellent interpersonal skills, tenacity and the ability to influence others

+ Proficiency with Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
