We are actively seeking to increase our Sessional GP workforce within Medvivo across BaNES Swindon and Wiltshire.

Since 2004, Medvivo has built an excellent reputation for providing round the clock care services that are second to none. We are proud of our Outstanding CQC rating and we work hard to maintain the commitment to our Investors in People accreditation.

Our services includes Urgent Care services to Wiltshire Swindon and Bath and North East Somerset. This includes a Clinical Hub, GP Out of Hours, adult and children clinics known locally as ‘SUCCESS clinics’, Single Point of Access (SPA) , Telecare alarm monitoring and Response service and we use our urgent care model to support Primary Care throughout Wiltshire.

From May 2018, Medvivo became the sole provider for the Bath and North East Somerset (BaNES), Swindon and Wiltshire Integrated Urgent Care contract. Therefore we are looking for GPs to join our expanding clinical team across these three areas.

Our GPs can work at any of our bases and across all services. If you’d like to expand your portfolio we have opportunities available at all bases across Wiltshire, Swindon and BaNES. The role includes, telephone triage, see patients face to face and responds to requests for home visits to patients who are unable to attend one of our bases.

Our OOH bases are situated within various sites within in BaNES, Swindon and Wiltshire including community hospitals and EDs. This allows us to work cooperatively with the ED and MIUs. Medvivo operates an appointment only system which is managed centrally by our dedicated team of Coordinators. Shifts are available at the following locations:

  • Chippenham Community Hospital
  • Devizes Community Hospital (Weekends only)
  • Moredon Medical Centre, Swindon
  • Royal United Hospital, Bath
  • Paulton Community Hospital (Weekends only)
  • Salisbury Foundation Trust Hospital
  • Savernake Community Hospital, Marlborough
  • Swindon Health Centre
  • Trowbridge Community Hospital
  • Telephone triage from Fox Talbot House
  • Warminster Community Hospital

Requirements

To join the Sessional GP team, please contact the Recruitment Team (Recruitment@medvivo.com or 0800 6444 200). They will ask you to complete a short personal details form, as well as requesting the following information:

  • Medical Indemnity Certificate
  • GMC Registration Number
  • Evidence of the right to work in the UK
  • DBS
  • NHS Smartcard number
  • Safeguarding and Life Support training evidence
  • Preferred availability and location of work
