Your day to day
Working closely with a number of key stakeholders the Financial Reporting Manager will be responsible for the financial reporting of a wide-ranging portfolio which includes UK subsidiaries, US branches and Middle East entities. The role will involve the preparation of the Group quarterly financial reports as well as annual statutory accounts under UK GAAP. You will ensure that the Group’s accounting policies are complied with and assist with their review and if necessary, implement new policies.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Reviewing and understanding monthly trial balances extracted and identifying and challenging any unusual or unexpected items. * Preparing quarterly and year end Hyperion Financial Management reporting packs under IFRS. * Preparing annual statutory accounts under UK GAAP and liaising with the Group Tax Department, Group Treasury and Company Secretariat as necessary. * Co-ordinating the external audit of the Group reporting packs and annual statutory accounts. * Maintaining a detailed and up to date knowledge of all matters related to IFRS, UK GAAP and other relevant regulatory accounting requirements. * Ensuring that relevant SOX processes and controls are adhered to.
What we need from you
You will be a Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with proven experience gained in a financial reporting environment ideally within a fast paced, corporate environment.
With a strong financial accounting background you will have "hands on" experience of producing financial statements under IFRS and UK GAAP.
With strong communication skills you will have the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally.
Previous of experience of PeopleSoft, Hyperion Financial Management and Caseware would be advantageous.
