Role: Rail Support Engineer - Remote Control Monitoring
Salary: £40,000 + package

An exciting opportunity has come about with one of our key rail clients who are looking for a Support Engineer to join their technical team in one of their flagship Depots. The company is a well known operator of Trains, offering great opportunities to work on up to date technology and in running the busiest service in London.
The purpose of the role is to assist with the management of software and development of all aspects of Remote condition Monitoring system. This will be across the fleet along with other shore-based systems as directed by the RCM Engineer.
A great role for a graduate with minimum post grad experience or an individual looking to join a new industry as part of their career development.
Roles and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Development of software solution to meet the needs of the business including maintain and add to the system of continuous improvement used in the client's business.
Make sure RCM systems comply to business and industry standards
Support in the production of documents
Maintenance techniques are utilised
Ensure change is implemented in line with legislation
When investigations take place ensure that performance is performed to standard and that the production of data for reliability analysis is robust
Development of robust and efficient maintenance plans to the RCM systems which delivery on companywide target around efficient, safety and value for money
The successful candidate will have experience and understanding of PHP, C# with a clear competence in java script, Html, SQL, and system administration.
Rail experience is not mandatory to perform this role although would be an advantage. From an industry perspective, experience of Digital based systems in a Transport or heavy industry environment is desirable but not essential.
Knowledge of unit testing is required although user interface design is desirable.
