As a Principle Software Engineer you will be a key member of a small software development team responsible for creating high quality automated test solutions as part of an overall transformation of our manufacturing process. Using business analysis, requirements gathering, software validation and documentation skills you will ensure that the software solutions delivered by the team meet requirements of our internal stakeholders.
This role would particularly suit a product owner, software validation or software quality assurance specialist with experience of project managing all phases of the software development lifecycle.
+ Work with manufacturing test engineers and product subject matter experts to translate product testing specifications into meaningful software requirements and user stories to allow developers to effectively deliver the product.
+ Project manage the integration and delivery of software solutions using Agile methods (Scrum/Kanban) where appropriate.
+ Align, coordinate and perform testing and release activities, collaborating with other Software teams, Project Management and Operations groups to achieve successful product delivery.
+ Using scripting languages, configure software products to automate manufacturing test procedures and reduce manual test effort.
+ Act as technical adviser and champion for developed solutions and ensure that these are maintained and fit for purpose by maintaining open communication channels with all stakeholders.
+ Produce software validation documentation including user requirements, functional design specifications, feature files and traceability matrices.
+ Articulate the long-term vision for specific software solutions designed to automate or improve the efficiency of the manufacturing process.
+ HND or Degree in a scientific or engineering subject.
+ Experience of software development using Agile Methodology, ideally with experience in LUA scripts, or other relevant programming language.
+ Experience / knowledge of Software Validation and compliance to ISO/cGMP regulations
+ Ability to analyse and solve problems.
+ Experience of JIRA, Confluence or similar modern software delivery tools
+ Practical experience of instrumentation preferred
+ Good oral and written communication skills.
+ The ability to work as an effective member of a team.
