This is a Visual Design role, in the Pearson Global Schools, International Curriculum team.
You will be responsible for understanding and translating customer needs into visual design, brand identity and interface design concepts for print and digital products. You will be able to present visual design concepts and completed design work to key stakeholders and gather and incorporate feedback.
**?** Working collaboratively with content specialists and responding to customer needs, you will be responsible for the visual appearance of all products which engage and attract new and existing learners and teachers.
? Working collaboratively with the UX team, you will be responsible for the visual appearance of user interfaces.
? Creating and/or managing the creation of visual design deliverables, following Pearson Content Creation guidelines.
? Commissioning and contracting third party vendors.
? Individual planning of and budgeting for tasks, activities and timings.
? Being the team's advocate for branding and style consistency across all products.
? Inspiring co-workers and collaborating with them to produce inventive, thoughtful, relevant work.
? Risk management & risk mitigation plans
? Project prioritisation & senior stakeholder decision rights
? Multi-task across multiple projects whilst remaining calm under pressure
? Work closely with internal and external production service providers, in support of our outsourcing strategy
? Ensuring that vendors are prepared, trained and provided with the necessary tools and materials to ensure delivery to agreed standards and timescales
? Understands and communicates how Production supports Pearson's larger goals.
? Delivers plans according to budget and looks for eventual areas of financial optimization.
? Understands how content works in all product categories.
? Flags areas of improvement in terms of production flow or relationships with vendors and content creators in order to increase efficiency or reduce costs.
? Has a good knowledge of the specificities of the IC Portfolio.
? Works with other parts of the organisation (e.g. portfolio management and content development teams) to ensure support in attaining output, quality and productivity.
? Maintains communication across products in the portfolio.
? Manages internal team, freelancers and vendors for schedule, budget, quality compliance and provide feedback on performance.
