Overall Job Purpose

The purpose of this role, is to ensure that the broad portfolio of Vitality Partnerships, including sport sponsorship, Vitality programme Partners and affiliated websites are utilised effectively and appropriately to create profitable acquisition opportunities, benefiting the Vitality Group.

The role requires the identification of appropriate market opportunity for conversion, nurturing commercial relationships with Partners, the planning and delivery of campaign activity including working with Marketing Centres of Excellence and agencies as necessary, and the measurement of performance against profitable ROI targets.


Market planning

Work with the Data Science and Analytics Centre of Excellence, to identify relevant and accessible market audiences, in the Partner base
Create the go-to-market plan and drive action through delivery of the plan, including campaign activity
Develop the long-term partner marketing strategy
Build the lead-generation and nurture function alongside performance marketing

Stakeholders and relationships

Work directly and / or via Vitality relationship leads, to build commercially-led Partnership agreements – including permissions and access to audience data, Partner assets including products and services
Negotiate commercial agreements where appropriate, including Cost Per Lead and Cost Per Acquisition models, putting relevant legal and operational frameworks in place
Work with Marketing Centres of Excellence and agencies as necessary for campaign delivery to required standards and timelines
Ensure Partnership plans and performance is communicated to Marketing and Sales stakeholders, and to the wider marketing team and business
Foster and negotiate affiliate relationships with other web-sites and apps

Partner member experience

To plan and create a relevant and rich member experience e.g. personalised content, exclusive rewards, for Partner members
To ensure the Partner member experience drives benefit for Vitality by encouraging conversion through the funnel
To work with the wider team and business to ensure the experience for Partner members is seamless and intuitive e.g. servicing, IT, call centre etc

Campaign delivery

To ensure relevant content is created for Partnership campaigns e.g. imagery, video, copy etc
To ensure campaign delivery channels are fit-for-purpose and future-proofed e.g. email marketing platforms
To ensure the management of data adheres to data protection regulations and serves the campaign purpose
To brief the appropriate agency on related media buys to enhance the audience reach e.g. social, search
And where necessary to input into the development of new technology e.g. app based platforms

Measurement and reporting

Provide progress updates and performance measurement of Partnership marketing activity, through tracking, the measurement of ROI and to make recommendations for continued improvement

Team performance

To contribute to the success of the performance team and business, through profitable acquisition, aligned with the culture and Values at Vitality


Accountable for ensuing all communications are aligned against brand tone of voice and identity guidelines
Advocate and ensure the team create all Financial Promotions (FP's) with adherence to Vitality’s clear, fair, and not misleading rules using agreed Communication Code phrases and descriptions

Skills Required


Ideally university qualified, with a marketing or communications degree
Demonstrable marketing experience
Has experience working in a marketing team, ideally in Financial Services
B2C marketing experience.
Experience in developing “go to market” plans
Experience of managing and delivering multiple projects to tight deadlines
Strong understanding of segmentation to define marketing strategy.
Building and nurturing relationships with marketing agencies
Regulatory knowledge including championing within teams
