CARERS LEAD

Secondment or fixed term contract

2 days per week

6 months 2 December 2019 – 30 May 2020

You are invited to apply for a six month secondment or fixed term contract to the role of Carers Lead. This role will take on the responsibility for the delivery and development of priorities for improvement of the Trust support to Carers.

This role is open to Berkshire Healthcare internal applicants on secondment or external applicants on a fixed term contract. The role requires someone with experience of working in a leadership role and/or with project management experience.

This is a part time role, 2 days per week for 6 months, to deliver the current carer priorities, which are as follows –

1. To arrange support and development for priority areas identified from the recent Carer support audit
2. Plan arrange and deliver Carer engagement event/s, using a ‘Listening into Action’ approach to understand and capture carer needs and views
3. Develop plan for next phase of carer support/strategy and priorities for improvements/developments over coming 1 – 2 years.
