This UK leading developer are involved with some of London’s most iconic schemes and now are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor for one of their flagship developments in West London. The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for the commercial and surveying activities for a 1000+ unit site in West London. The overall development will consist of residential units a mixture of apartments, penthouses and town houses, office space, leisure units and a community centre. This is a great chance for an SQS or aspiring SQS to join a five-star housebuilder with an exceptional reputation within the construction industry who have won countless awards over the years.
Key duties and responsibilities:
Manage costs for the site, ensuring targets are met by managing and controlling the budget and valuations Managing the procedures and processes of all sub-contractors Train and manage junior staff Supervise and manage on the financial aspects of certain developments. Liaise with development teams. Prepare and update procurement programmes. Maintain and review the Approved List of Subcontractors. Prepare Subcontract tender documentation. Monitor material purchasing costs to incorporate in contract financial reports. Attend subcontract pre-order meetings. Prepare Subcontract tender documentation.
Requirements for this Senior Quantity Surveyor position
Previous experience working for a developer or residential main contractor Proven track record in a Quantity Surveyor role Good knowledge of the Construction industry processes and procedures. Qualified to HND level or higher with a valid CSCS card Able to work on own initiative, with the drive to take ownership of projects Knowledge of ICT and software systems. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Understanding of standard forms of contract and reporting procedures. Understanding of methods of measurement. Strong knowledge of building regulations
Salary and package for this Senior Quantity Surveyor position
£65,000 - £75,000 per annum. Company Car or Cash allowance Healthcare benefits Performance related bonus. 25 days holiday plus bank holiday Excellent career progression opportunities.
