We are seeking and experiencedLead Test Engineerfor ourITsite located inTranent, Scotland.
The CRL IT organization is looking for an engergetic professional to join our Testing Services function and lead Testing delivery on Projects across a varied IT change portfolio. In this role, they would have responsibility for designing and delivering Testing Strategy, implementing Testing best practices, building Project Test teams and managing colleague development. The Lead Test Engineer will work closely with other IT service areas to deliver IT change with speed, quality and at the best possible cost. Through delivering excellence, they will help achieve and maintain a high level of employee engagement, customer satisfaction and productivity.
The following are minimum responsibilies for theLead Test Engineerposition:
+ Team selection and induction: Recruit best fit talent.
+ Build Relationships: Build the personal connections that foster trust, commitment, and teamwork.
+ Teambuilding: Encourage activities and dialogue to motivate team members to increase the overall performance of the team.
+ Coaching & Mentoring: Develop team members so they can perform and deliver the best possible results; Mentor team members two levels removed for purposes of development and succession.
+ Context setting: Communicate mid and long-term strategy and goals of the organization and any relevant background necessary to understand task assignment.
+ Planning: Ensure team members understand the business value of what they're doing and can articulate it in planning sessions.
+ Commitments: Ensure commitments are met.
+ Task Assignment & Adjustment: Lead team by providing a clear articulation of direction and expectiations (PC/QSTR); Control the level of work in progress to optimize flow for each direct report, adjusting to changing conditions.
+ Monitoring: Measure the team's performance against organizational goals.
+ Continuous Improvement: Ensure continuous improvement of operations (POOGI - Process of ongoing improvement)
+ Appraisal: Provide feedback on performance
+ De-selection/dismissal: Remove team members from roles as appropriate.
+ Adhere to pertinent regulatory requirements and to company policies, practices and precedures.
+ Manager financial budgets and forecasts to remain within commitments while achieving goals.
+ Perform all other related duties as assigned.
The following are minimum qualifications for theLead Test Engineerposition:
+ Education: Degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent work experience.
+ Experience: Minimum of five (5) years leading Testing delivery on Projects.
+ Effective communication skills for large, multi-national audiences.
+ Management acumen - Solid understanding and demonstrated ability to:
+ Build and manage a high performaing team
+ Strong leadership and interpersonal skills including collaboration, influencing & aligning.
+ High Emotional Intelligence (EQ)
+ Relationship building.

+ Business acumen - Experience managing budgets, understanding of customer value.
+ Operational Performance - Understand of and/or experience with Theory of Contraints (TOC).
+ Experience and/or understanding of Critical Chain Project Management (CCPM).
+ Experience delivering Testing within an Agile (or similar) environment
