As a European Security Operations Centre operative you will be responsible for protecting the associates, assets and brand of TJXE by monitoring the European estate and the safety of its associates.
The role will entail responding to multiple incidents as they occur, following the agreed processes to both resolve and appropriately escalate those incidents and mitigate any losses to TJXE. This is a very important role and will be visible across the whole of TJX.
The operation will be 24/7/365 and so flexibility and a willingness to work nights, weekends and public holidays is essential.
Given the nature of the role, you will operate with appropriate levels of discretion and offer timely and assuring updates to the ESOC manager. You may be required to present findings, make recommendations and help influence outcomes.
This is a role that requires a hands-on approach and an agile approach to learning new skills and keeping up to date with new technology and responsibilities as the remit of the ESOC expands. You will provide support, coach and develop others within the organisation to understand and mitigate the risk to the organisation.
The main duties to be completed within the role of ESOC Specialist include but not limited to the following
+ Effective and accurate management and prioritisation of alarm activations across a variety of platforms in accordance with procedure across the European estate
+ Responsible for all control room operations and manning, including CCTV review and reviewing
+ Ensure that all incidents are dealt with and logged in accordance with procedures
+ Provide operational support to the Head of Security and Security Supervisors
+ Assist with Internal and external investigations as required
+ Major incident command and control and crisis management
+ Auditing of all patrols, events and incidents
+ Ensure that all staff, visitors and contractors understand their safety obligations while in the ESOC
+ Authoritative knowledge of how to use security and fire alarms
+ Ensuring you are contactable by mobile phone or other means whilst on shift
+ Provide support to all TJX facilities across the region
+ Be open and willing to undertake new training across ESOC functions to ensure the organisation has the ability to manage workload demands by redeployment of staff as necessary to business requirements Privacy:
+ Maintain good levels of knowledge for additional legislation around privacy in other European countries. For example, Works Council privacy requirements in Germany, Poland and the Netherlands
+ Escalate Loss Prevention related privacy concerns to line manager and Privacy team

+ Ensure training and education needs are identified and met for all relevant associates
+ Prioritises effective use of training and education programmes with business partners
+ Is an ambassador of change and role models the company values to foster the right culture
+ Partners to ensure effective and clear communication at all levels within business area. Ensures priorities are shared with wider business
+ Builds effective partnership in business area to influence behaviours and drive performance. Displays partnering skills within the wider business and the building of a network in other business areas
+ Partners to influence the performance and behaviour of partners, associates, management and other teams in business area as well as external third party vendors Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience
+ Experience in working in a control centre environment
+ Ability to remain calm under pressure
+ Ability to analyse data to inform key business decisions
+ Previous experience in mass notification processes
+ Excellent communication skills both written and verbal and able to listen, to give clear and concise instructions
+ Previous travel tracking experience desirable
+ Can solve problems and identify solutions
+ Able to articulate complex processes and legislation in simple form, the wider business can understand
+ Organisational skills with ability to work to tight deadlines, act on own initiative in a logical and decisive manner
+ Has tact and diplomacy
+ Highly computer and technology literate
+ High degree of integrity
+ Highly organised, self-motivated and able to multi task
+ Beneficial to be educated to degree level in a relevant subject such as surveillance, IT, or similar related discipline
+ A language skill in German, Polish or Dutch would be an advantage
