Retail IT Business Analyst

We are working with a historic and well established retailer based in the heart of London who are looking for a IT Business Analyst to join their growing team and support the Lead Business Analyst to support demand and delivery of all stages of their projects.

As a IT Business Analyst you will work closely with senior stakeholders and their teams to understand current requirements. You will also assist in ongoing management and evolution of the IT demand and delivery process.

Responsibilities

• Use modelling tools such as Visio, or in-application tools such as Dynamics 365 Task Recordings, to document ‘as-is’ and ‘to-be’ business process covering both functional and non-functional.
• Responsible for any needed knowledge transfer to the relevant internal roles, both functional and technical, as defined in the relevant functional and design documentation during and in transition of Projects.
• Arrange and support any post-implementation project reviews
• Drive, validate and document any options analysis or RFP including evaluation/trial of solutions both internal and external
• Maintain close partnering relationships with senior stakeholders within the defined Business Units ensuring that regular communication, updates and reviews are carried out
• Initiate and manage relationships with any third-party vendors through the Demand and Delivery lifecycle, acting as a conduit between them and internal roles
• Use collaboration tools such as SharePoint Online, Office365 and Dynamics 365 to create, update and manage Demand and Delivery documentation and related artefacts
• Support the presentation of Projects at any Change Approval Process

Candidate Specification

• Extensive experience as a Business Analyst in the retail or hospitality
• Experience in business change
• Experience working closely with senior stakeholders and manging their expectations
• Experience of project management life cycle stages and working through full lifecycle from concept through to post implementations
• Experience prioritising and working on multiple IT project across different business functions
• Experience working with a ERP system is preferred
• (Eg Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle or SAP)
