We are now looking to recruit a Logistics Team Leader to support the Site Logistics Manager

So, what’s the job about?

This is to assist the Site Logistics Manager in all the fleet and delivery functions, ensuring compliance with Company Policy, driving best practise and efficiency in vehicle utilisation.

• Promote a safe working environment and encourage compliance with Safe Operating Procedures. Where required take part in Risk Assessments and SHEQ team meetings. Support initiatives, campaigns and activities to promote the realisation of the Regional Health and Safety Action Plan. Discharge the responsibilities of the office staff as required.
• Effectively lead the Logistics Administration team, at all times adopting and encouraging an open, positive and constructive approach, promoting a culture in which continuous improvement is sought and achieved.
• Support the Site Logistics Manager in developing and maintaining a clear and consistent level of communication through the use of regular team briefings and individual performance reviews.

What skills are you going to bring to the team?

• Ideally two years experience in a first–line supervisory logistics support role in a high volume throughput environment
• Minimum Two years experience in a transport driving or planning function

• A team approach and an open, constructive style are both important and necessary.

• Knowledge of Driver’s Hours legislation ,Health and Safety Management is and ideally an IOSHH qualification would be advantageous but a commitment to attain such a qualification is essential.
