Station Contract Manager, Sizewell, Suffolk, Salary up to £60,000
Sizewell B is the UK’s first operational Pressurised Water Reactor (PWR) producing enough electricity for 2 million homes and businesses. Applications are invited for the post of Contract Manager within the Supply Chain Team at Sizewell B Power Station. The successful candidate will work within a team reporting to a Lead Contract Manager. The Contract Manger role is as a key enabler to delivering a controlled and focused commercial environment whenever we engage with our key suppliers.
The successful applicant will ensure that Contractors, Suppliers & support staff maintain safe and reliable operation of the plant with full compliance to agreed safety and environmental standards. This will be achieved by contributing to a controlled and stable supply chain environment through the application of agreed procurement strategies and the leadership of Station Contract Liaison Officers.

As Station Contract Manager you will provide commercial leadership for allocated contracts ensuring ‘value for money’ is obtained from the supply of all goods and services. This includes supplier appraisal, supporting tender assessment, negotiation, contract placement, inaugural meetings, variation management, claim management, programme / performance monitoring and payment validation. You will act as a focal point and single point of instruction between EDF and contractor as well as holding and managing the contract expenditure budget on behalf of the station.
You will have a sound and demonstrable commercial awareness as well as experience for a technical and commercial management of work. You will have a proven ability to communicate effectively with all levels within a business.The Skills

You will be appointed as a Station Contract Manager and the salary range will be up to £60,592, with terms and conditions covered by the EDF Energy Nuclear Generation Company Agreement. The starting salary for this appointment will be dependent on your existing salary, competence, experience and qualifications.
