We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Occupational Therapist in Orthopaedics to provide clinical and professional leadership to Occupational Therapy in-patient teams of Adult Orthopaedics, Orthopaedic Oncology and Paediatrics team. . The role is diverse and includes managing a complex clinical caseload of patients across above clinical areas. The post holder will provide clinical support and guidance to the Occupational Therapists who are part of integrated therapies teams. The post holder will provide mentorship and supervision to senior Occupational Therapist and contribute towards developing and maintaining of high profile of Occupational Therapy service internally and externally. The post holder will support respective Team Leads in the delivery of service improvements and evaluation, training and education and an audit and research plan. Additionally the post holder will work closely with the wider MDT teams to evaluate and improve the patient pathway and experience. This will include Trust wide initiative such of supporting Reducing Length of Stay programme across In-patient surgical wards.
The successful candidate will have relevant clinical experience and expertise, extensive knowledge of health and social care, strong leadership and communication skills and a commitment to the delivery of high quality, evidence based patient services.
