Job Description


Fixed term - 11 month maternity cover

We are looking to appoint a part time officer into our Search and Systems Team within the Development and Enforcement Group to provide maternity cover.

Contract starting on 2 January 2020.

The post will be responsible for helping to process and deliver a range of search requests that are submitted to the Council, particularly those relating to Planning, Building Control and Land Charges matters. The role will also provide administrative support within the Development and Enforcement Group in general.

The successful post holder should have a good standard of education and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and a range of IT systems. Good communication skills, both written and oral and a flexible approach to work are essential.

Working knowledge of search procedures, development control processes and associated administrative procedures would be an advantage as would any experience in working in a "systems thinking" environment. However, specific in-house training will be provided to the successful applicant.
