Nalco Water, an Ecolab Company, seeks a Technical Sales Representative or Account Manager to join its industry leading Paper sales team. You’ll be responsible for revenue and profit growth of programs and services in targeted accounts, in the paper industry. Using a consultative sales approach, you’ll build relationships with existing customers by executing system assurance programs that meet their key business needs. With strong account leadership, you’ll also convert strategic competitive accounts and sell new technologies to current customers.

What You Will Do:

  • Generate and execute sales plans and strategies to close new opportunities within existing customer base, and in major, competitively-held accounts, to meet defined territory profit increase goals.
  • Work closely with large, strategic current and prospective customers to understand business needs and recommend continuous improvement and innovation plans that will maintain and grow sales within assigned territory
  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders within current and prospective customers, including plant or facility executives
  • Engage in problem solving by performing system analysis, interpreting data and providing written recommendations to ensure customer operations are performing at optimal levels
  • Demonstrate the ability to stabilise jeopardy business in large, strategic accounts

​Territory/Location Information:

  • This position is based in the South of England
  • Territory covers the South West (Bristol) to London
  • Targeted accounts are paper industry only
  • 20-60% overnight travel required depending on the initial geographic position

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with extensive technical sales or field sales support and experience in paper industry, or Master's degree with strong technical sales or field sales support and experience in the paper industry
  • Possess a valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s/master’s degree in engineering (chemical, mechanical, industrial) or life sciences (biology, chemistry, etc.)
  • Water treatment, papermacking process or specialty chemical industry experience
  • Working knowledge of boilers, cooling towers, and wastewater treatment systems OR paper machine operations, wet end chemistry, pulp mill operations, or industrial processes wet end chemistry, pulp mill operations
