We are looking for an experienced Workplace Services Manager to join our growing business.

As the Workplace Services Manager you will lead the team of TJX associates, specialists and selected service partners, in delivering a full range of Office and Business services across the TJX Workplace. You will be responsible for ensuring that the business receives the appropriate level of Office and Business services to support TJX’s operational requirements by working closely with associates and stakeholders from across TJX, including global shared services teams. The WPS Manager will be the subject matter expert, but in addition, this role is viewed as being one of the Cultural Champions, working with the business to shape our TJX Workplace so that it is aligned to the unique TJX culture and values.

Based in our head office in Watford you will be responsible for and knowledge of:

  • Office and Business Services
  • Management and Projects
  • Health and Safety
  • Contractor Safety Management
  • Business Continuity (BC) Emergency Planning

Desired skills and experience:

  • Proven experience of leading and managing an Office Services function incl. service partners
  • Experience of working within a customer facing and customer service focused environment
  • Experience of managing budgets
  • Focused on high standards of service delivery and best value solutions
  • Be able to prioritize workload, work to tight deadlines, plan, organize and monitor several activities at the same time.
  • Health and Safety related experience and/or qualifications e.g. (IOSH Managing Safely)
  • Proven experience of developing people and Performance Management
  • Ability to delegate as required
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are essential
  • A practical working knowledge of Word and Excel are required.

  • Leadership qualities that are inclusive and influential across all levels of an organization and takes ownership and accountability for work
  • High caliber of management and organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize own and others workload appropriately
  • Exceptional communication skills both orally and written with the ability to analyze data and prepare reports on findings
  • Proactive and highly motivated with a can-do attitude with a hands-on-approach, a strong team player
  • Think creatively and pragmatically in resolving problems
  • External and internal networking skills
  • UK/EU occasional travel, some O/night stays
  • Commitment to Continuing Professional Development
  • Flexible approach to working and the ability to work outside of normal working hours, for example Emergency Planning/Operations
  • From time to time to attend public or other external industry meetings/conferences
