Sue Ryder’s Dee View Court is looking to appoint an Occupational Therapist within their expanded Neurological Care Centre, Aberdeen.
This is such an exciting time to join Dee View. Not only are we Scotland's only purpose built Neurological Centre but our recent expansion has increased us to 44 beds enabling us to deliver twice as much vital Neurological care
The Occupational Therapist Role:
• To work within Dee View Court as a member of the interdisciplinary team providing occupational therapy assessment, treatments and goal setting. • To provide supervision and education as appropriate for more junior member of the team. • To maintain up to date records in line with professional standards. • To use evidence based practice and specialist skill to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions.
You will have:
• Highly specialist knowledge and application of therapy assessments and interventions using complex level clinical reasoning • Experience of evidence based practice and outcome measures • Motivational skills and goal setting for personalised care • An ability to work autonomously and to set own and others’ priorities • An ability to confidently assess and manage risk in relation to therapist/therapy service performance • Excellent advanced communication skills • Degree in occupational therapy or equivalent qualification. • Registration with the health care professions council. • Evidence of relevant postgraduate courses
