The South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting into a substantive 10 PA Speciality doctor post based in the London Borough of Lewisham. This is for our nationally accredited Lewisham Crisis resolution and Home treatment team based at Ladywell House in Lewisham (3 minute walking distance from University Hospital Lewisham). As an organization with an international reputation as a centre for clinical excellence and NHS ‘Global Digital Exemplar’ status, associated with the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience at King’s College London, the world leading academic centre for mental health research, we are able to offer post holders two PAs out of 10 for research, quality improvement or digital innovation . Specialty doctors seeking entry to the Specialist register via the CESR route will be given adequate support, supervision and SPA time to puruse this career path. This job will also suit doctors who wish to take a break from specialist training.

If developing managerial experience is of interest, our Lewisham Directorate has recently embarked on a ‘Lewisham Alliance’ programme to improve how we work in partnership with organizations across the borough, including primary care and the third sector. The post holder will have a real opportunity to develop management and leadership skills via participation in system wide development and transformation work.
Lewisham is cosmopolitan part of London with an energetic, creative and diverse local community. It benefits from attractive residential neighborhoods, great local schools and a large number of parks and green spaces.
