Trainee Outside Broadcast Engineer

RaceTech provides a unique range of technical and broadcast services to the horse racing industry – from cameras and full outside broadcast (OB) production, public address and audio systems, to photofinish and many other technical solutions.

We now have immediate vacancies for Trainee OB Engineers based at Raynes Park to work on live sports OBs at racecourses.

You should have good technical knowledge with qualifications in broadcast engineering or electronic engineering and some experience of the OB environment would be desirable. However, a keenness to learn, enquiring mind, flexible approach and a love of solving technical problems is more important than direct experience as training will be ongoing. With strong IT and communication skills, you must be able to work under limited supervision in a high pressure environment. You must also be prepared to travel regularly and to work evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays. A driving licence is essential and we will also offer training for an HGV licence.
