This position is a key member of the global Product Development team who will learn and support automated activities globally. In this role, the candidate will gain experience with IVD product and process development, automation of laboratory processes, and instrument integrations. The candidate will be involved with the installation, development, validation, and maintenance of instrument platforms and automation suites.

Specific deliverables for the role include, but not limited to:
• Assist with experiments toward the design and optimization of automated workflows and processes for diagnostic applications.
• Help troubleshoot automated platforms to diagnose sources of error
• Assist installation, validation, and maintenance of instrument platforms and automation suites.
• Maintain, calibrate, and qualify specialized equipment.
• In lab performance of manual and automated processes in support of process development.
• Act as a liaison between OI and equipment vendors. Responsible for coordinating equipment purchase, installation, service contracts, etc.
• Assist with demonstration of automated solutions for key customers.
• Generation and analysis of lab generated data
• Present experimental results and documentation status and overview at internal company meetings, potentially to other departments and sites.
• Ensure that conclusions in written reports and presentations reflect the data presented, and that reports are of the highest quality and consistent with Development documentation standards.

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Engineering plus demonstrable laboratory experience
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a laboratory or validation role for use with diagnostic applications
• Proven ability to support marketing objective driven goals and to deliver results (products)
• Proven ability to generate and analyze data, and plan experiments and follow up work
• Immunological assay and T cell immunology knowledge is an advantage
