About the role
There are 3 posts available and the successful applicants will be based at either Buxton, Kedleston Road or Markeaton Street.
The Careers and Employment Service (CES) is a central service available to all University of Derby students and graduates up to 3 years after graduating. The CES offers advice, information and guidance on all aspects of careers and making career decisions. Part of the provision offered is bespoke specialised support for each of the six colleges, facilitated and mostly delivered by the linked Careers Consultants, working closely with academics teams. Co-curricular activities are supported via the wider team to include; Employability Advisors, the Employer Engagement team, and the Enterprise team.
The role of the CES Project Coordinator is twofold; to support the wider CES to identify and engage recent graduates, and to deliver on student and graduate facing projects. Due to the unique nature of each college the exact content and direction of the college based projects will be determined by the needs of the college.
The Careers and Employability Project Coordinator roles are a 9-month placement and are suitable for a University of Derby recent graduate. The role offers the successful candidate a challenging and exciting experience at the heart of the careers and employability student experience.
You will be working with the colleges as well as the central team and there will be opportunities to support wider CES university and college events.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and expect everyone who works for us to also share this commitment and to treat people with courtesy and respect.
