Evening manager

Reporting to: Contract manager

Directs: Contract administrator Site assistant managers Waste supervisors Window cleaning

Key Purpose: To lead service with total responsibility for the delivery of all our subcontracted services on site.

Working Hours: 37 hours per week however the shift will depend on events so the ideal candidate will be required to work weekends, may work more hours a week and will have a day off in lieu.​

The Role:

Key Elements of the Role:

  • Meet with clients & client’s contractors (when required)
  • Monitor, manage and report on equipment repairs budget spend
  • Monitor manage and report on consumable and materials stock
  • Record and track budget spends/hours delivery against staff bookings
  • Ensure services remain within budget and achieve targets
  • Ensure health & safety is adhered to at all times
  • Motivate the team to aspire to deliver excellent results, standards, maintain adequate staff training, records and documentation
  • Complete monthly client reports
  • Create staff roster, cover holidays, absences
  • Manage site assistant managers, coordinators
  • Ensure all team members are appropriately trained and receive refresher training where appropriate
  • Manage/monitor equipment allocation/condition/repairs
  • Manage team involved in waste operation ensuring health & safety is adhered to at all times
  • Operate waste compactors, waste tugs, Forklift, weighbridge
  • Arrange waste collections via the administrator
  • Ensure all areas of waste operation are kept tidy and as clean as practicable, including weigh bride, compactors, bailers where applicable, waste stations, bin stores, bins, tugs and forklifts
  • Track and record waste figures on the system
  • Compliance check, guide and approve site draft risk assessments and safe systems of work
  • Undertake staff HR/disciplinary meetings and hearings
  • Create and provide quotes to the client for ad hoc requests, events
  • Audit cleaning activities and give guidance to site assistant managers and event coordinators to ensure high cleaning standards are achieved and maintained daily
  • Ensure entire O2 estate including Icon and stadium are cleaned ready for use and maintained at an appropriate standard during opening hours/use
  • Input payroll hours to the system.
  • Undertake any other reasonable management request​

  • Telephone handling experience
  • Fully Computer Literate - Proficient with Word, Excel and Email
  • Staff development and training
  • Good analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Understanding of employment law and company HR policies and procedures

Shift Patterns/Hours

  • Starting from 14:30 and/or 15:30 to 23:00 and/or 00:00 (1 hour break)
  • Require to work weekends depending on events
