NCG Group Services supports our seven Colleges nationally, with its Head Office based in Newcastle. We are looking to expand our team and are offering an exciting opportunity for suitably experienced professionals to join us in the role of Group Senior Contracts Officer to play a key part managing the risk profile of the Group. The successful candidate will report to the Group Head of Contracts & Procurement, and will be responsible for line management of the Group Contracts Officer and Group Contracts Apprentice. The role will support the Group Head of Contracts & Procurement to ensure that robust and proactive processes and procedures are in place for the team and the wider business support. The primary focus of the role will be to develop and / or review income and expenditure contracts to identify concerns and risks to the business, including ways to mitigate.
The successful candidate must hold a law degree and their legal practicing certificate and will be established, experienced professional, ideally with prior experience from the education or wide public sector, and working with a wide stakeholder group in a variety of commercial activities.
This role is not intended to be an in-house legal counsel role held by a qualified legal practitioner.
