Please note: - This role is a Job Share and so this role will be subject to normal job share requirements. This role is for 22 hours per week, worked over 3 days, and these days can be agreed with the hiring manager. Please note that the salary listed is pro rata.

We are now looking for a Community Engagement and Volunteering Coordinator, which is based within the Centre for Student and Community Engagement (CenSCE); a progressive, values-led department. We use data and research to back purposeful action and provision. We deliver programmes to help students, especially from disadvantaged backgrounds, access and succeed at University and provide programmes to support them once they are here. Our programmes of activity are centred on the importance of participation, engagement within communities, and developing a sense of connectivity to society.

The Community Engagement and Volunteering Coordinator will work in the Community Engagement and Volunteering (CE&V) team to help to fulfil our purpose " 'creating collaborative opportunities to change lives'. The post holder will coordinate a range of curricular and co-curricular student programmes CE&V run, as well as our staff volunteering programme. They will be knowledgeable about volunteering and the voluntary sector, experienced in working with a range of internal and external stakeholders to achieve our aims and be able to manage a range of volunteers. They will have excellent communication, project management and presentation skills, along with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
