Tenure: Paediatric Consultant
Applications are invited for a Consultant Paediatrician post in the Paediatric Department at Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford.
This is a new post as the current post holder is reducing their hours.
This is a full time (10 PA) replacement post. The post will offer Paediatric expertise in the established paediatric department.
The candidate will have the opportunity to pursue other speciality interests. Respiratory, Neurology and Cardiology will specifically complement the skills of the existing consultants.
However, candidates with an interest in other specialities are very welcome to apply.
The wider post will have on-call responsibilities in line with the existing Consultants within the department, both in terms of responsibility and intensity; the OPD clinic commitment will include 3 general OPD clinics (to potentially include a special interest depending on the successful candidate’s individual skill set).

MEHT contracts are subject to the completion of a satisfactory 6 month probationary period.
All Registered Nurse/Midwife/Theatre Practitioner or ODP you will be required to take a Drug Calculation Test. (please note 100% pass mark required)
All HCA/HCSW/MCA will be required to take a Literacy and Numeracy test (80% pass required) as part of the pre employment process.
