We are seeking to appoint a postdoctoral Research Associate to work on an ESRC-funded project called "Face Identification within realistic contexts". The project is a collaboration between Prof Mike Burton and Dr Cade McCall (University York) and Dr Markus Bindemann (University of Kent). Its focus is on understanding person identification at passport control, using simulations of this process in virtual reality.Role
The main purpose of the role is to run, analyse and document experiments on human interactions within the VR environment. You will conduct research, including the following duties: analysis and interpretation of research data; use of appropriate research techniques and methods; writing up of research results and dissemination through publications, seminar and conference presentations and public engagement and outreach activities and contributing to the identification of possible new areas of research.Skills, Experience & Qualification needed
