Our Upstream segment is responsible for oil and natural gas exploration, field development and production, and midstream transportation, storage and processing. As a Completions Engineering Team Leader (CETL), you’ll be part of a Wells team that’s focused on safety, performance and the highest standard of teamwork.
About the opportunity
Part of our North Sea Wells extended leadership team, you’ll direct Completions Engineers who are focused on strategy, design and execution. It’s a senior-level role where you’ll assure the quality of well engineering for at least one rig in the region, delivering planning, programming and operations in the Select-Define-Execute-Review phases of the New Well Common Process.
It’s vital that we observe with regulations and maintain the highest safety standards. That means your priorities will be compliance and safety/risk management. You’ll also help your team build their skills by giving training and guidance as a coach and mentor. And there’ll be plenty of opportunities to connect with leadership teams across our Wells division and the wider region.
A skilled leader with proven experience, you’ll have deep technical expertise in completions. This covers design, installation and troubleshooting, as well as safety and risk management. And you’ll also have experience of modernisation in your field, plus a STEM degree. While advanced technical knowledge is essential, so are excellent people skills. It’s important that you can build relationships, communicate and collaborate; explaining strategy clearly and inspiring others to excel.
