Trainee / Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Wolverhampton, West Midlands County

We are now looking for either a Trainee or Assistant Quantity Surveyor, depending on your current level of experience, to support and assist the commercial delivery of numerous developments as part of the construction teams delivery programme.

You will:

  • Support commercial and surveying functions for multiple developments
  • Assist in sourcing subcontractors with the ability to provide works and services to the right quality, on time and to a specified budget
  • Review contract documents, specifications and drawings in order to compile robust works packages for tender with subcontractors.
  • Help realise the schemes financial performance as part of a wider programme.
  • Have a development plan in place that is being followed to ensure progression within the commercial team.
  • Search for ways to improve the services we deliver by thinking creatively and sharing good practice with colleagues.
  • Develop knowledge of new build residential development and building techniques
  • Adhere and follow all employee policies and procedures in an effective way to deliver the best outcomes for the business and colleague

What do you need?

  • A passion for construction and the built environment
  • Good with numbers
  • Willingness to undertake relevant qualification (HNC/HND/Degree)
