Quants Environmental is an expanding ecological and arboricultural consultancy with a diverse range of clients and interesting projects, from small residential developers through to large scale commercial industries. Our work spans the UK, but we are especially active across the beautiful landscapes of Yorkshire and the north of England. The successful candidate will join our friendly, progressive and hardworking team of trained ecologists, and will be fully supported to develop further by our experienced and knowledgeable senior staff.
The position will involve helping our team of experienced ecologists with field and protected species surveys, desk searches, drafting ecological reports, and many other elements of general applied ecological work. Day to day duties will involve a mix of field and office based responsibilities. This role will provide you with a fantastic opportunity to learn about applied ecology and develop your technical and consultancy skills.
The successful candidate must have the following:
A good, honours degree in Ecology or a closely related subject
Full driving licence (with access to business use of a vehicle)
Excellent communication and report writing skills
Professional, well-organised attitude to work and clients
The willingness and stamina to undertake field surveys at a variety of site locations, frequently at unsociable hours and sometimes involving overnight stays away from home
Evidence of a long-standing interest in the subject matter (which will be tested at interview)
Membership of CIEEM We offer
