Are you looking to develop your clinical skills and are attracted by making a difference to patients that need it the most? Would you like the variation to work between practice and domiciliary? As an Optometrist with Visioncall South West we offer:

  • Great flexibility with part time resident or regular locum opportunities available
  • Rewarding role where you can develop your clinical skills and make a difference by providing eye care services to vulnerable patients

Are you an experienced Optometrist looking for something different from practice, or perhaps you have domiciliary experience and would like to discover what it's like working for a business that is truly focused on patient care and ethical prescribing?

As an Optometrist with Visioncall your role is very different from the norm. You will have clinical freedom and the variation of getting out and about visiting patients mainly within care home environments. With no evening or weekend working, you will be accompanied by an experienced Dispensing Optician/ Optical Assistant who not only does the driving for you but will support you throughout your clinics, allowing you to focus on the sight test and patient.

Visioncall was founded upon the idea of being able to make a difference by enabling patients to see the world better and we are always looking for new Optometrists that share our values and want to use their clinical expertise to make a difference. Whether you are looking for a new resident post, or simply want to work one or two days per week whilst continuing in practice, we offer great flexibility and training as well as a supportive and caring work environment.

With opportunities available throughout the South West region, we offer:

  • Competitive salary package + excellent bonus
  • Locum regular days or block bookings
  • No evenings of weekends – flexible working
  • 33 days holiday (resident only)
  • Contributory pension scheme (resident only)
  • GOC fees covered annually (resident only)
  • Professional indemnity insurance (resident only)
  • In-house CET & extra specialist domiciliary training
  • Supportive and value based working environment
