PROJECT ENGINEER - PERMANENT - EAST LONDON - COMPETITIVE
Blackfield Associates are working alongside Stolthaven Terminals to recruit for a Project Engineer to join their Asset Management department on a permanent basis. Stolthaven Terminals are a global COMAH Top Tier company specialising in the storage of bulk liquids including chemicals, oils and petroleum products. Stolthaven Terminals own and joint venture 16 storage terminals around the world in countries including New Zealand, Australia, United States, China and the UK to name a few, allowing customers to store a combined total of 4.8 million cubic meters.
Working as part of the Asset Management team you will carry out the execution of technical CAPEX projects typically ranging from small to medium values whilst also assisting within a team on larger and more complex projects. Project responsibilities will range from construction and modification of equipment to providing support to the Asset Manager in the design and construction of bulk liquid storage facilities while continuously supporting and promoting innovations. You will prepare the project details, the engineering documents and cost estimates as well as taking responsibility for procurement coordination and/ or contracting of materials for your project by liaising with the procurement team. You will ensure all systems are designed, installed and maintained in adherence to local, state and federal regulations and standards whilst also enforcing established plant safety and environmental policies and procedures.
To be considered for this role you will have a Degree in Engineering related discipline, or will be a Chartered Engineer with experience working as a Project Engineer on various small to large CAPEX projects within a highly regulated hazardous environments. A background or exposure within oil & gas, refineries, pharmaceutical or other COMAH regulated industries would be an advantage for this role.
You will ideally be experienced in using planning software such as Oracle, Primavera, MS Projects and have the ability to build and maintain both internal and external relations on various levels. Ideally candidates will have experience with budget accountability / management and familiarity with cost control systems, tools and procedures. Suitable candidates will be flexible, stress resistant, self-motivated and results driven with advanced conceptual thinking skills in complex and/ or new situations.
