We are seeking a Support Worker to make a real difference to the lives of the people we support at this service offering residential living to adults who have mild to moderate learning difficulties. They require an individual who is conscientious and committed to delivering a high quality, person centred care and support service. Experience is not necessary as we support our staff with excellent training opportunities. It is equally important for us that you are approachable, caring and compassionate. This role does require driving and working occasional weekends. Full time will be 37.5 hours per week on a rota basis given well in advance so you can organise yur social life!!

Waking night hours are also available.

A Support Worker will include:

  • Delivering a high level of care and support for residents, ensuring their dignity and independence is maintained
  • Providing support to residents to enable them to maximise their own potential and independence
  • Assisting and encouraging residents to integrate into the community and become an active member
  • Building strong working relationships with residents, their families/guardians and colleagues

Skills and experiences:

  • Enthusiastic and flexible with a strong can-do attitude
  • Strong organisational skills as well as functional literacy and numeracy
  • Ability to react quickly to changing priorities whilst working to deadlines

And, of course, you need to ensure that the dignity and choice of the people we support is preserved at all times.
