We are looking for a Development Intern on a 9-month fixed term contract who will be predominately providing support to the UK&I Development team’s activities – particularly focusing on internal stake holder management and deal progression and reporting.

Your day to day

As a Development Intern your key role and responsibilities will be:

  • Project management of the UK&I priority deals
  • Stakeholder management with various teams including D&E, Legal, IA, Ops, brand etc
  • Ownership of UK&I Oneforce
  • RFP preparation support as required
  • Ownership of key UK&I external events: Liaising with Development Marketing on annual events and budgets; Booking various venues as required; Preparation of guest Invitations
  • Providing deal support and collation of data as and when required

What we need from you

The successful candidate will have a degree in a relevant field of work, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.

You would also need:

  • Solid record of sales achievement in the service or hospitality industry and understanding of the systems and procedures within a sales office environment in order to drive conversion and achieve budgeted sales.
  • Be process driven and self-motivated
  • Experience in hospitality (preferable)
  • A flexible approach as this would not be a typical 9-5 pm role, you would also have the opportunity to attend events in the evening

Technical Skills and Knowledge:

  • Competence in the use of IT and data applications.
  • Confidence in using Excel, World and PowerPoint
  • Adapt well to learning new systems and ways of working
  • Proactive approach, the ability to meet deadlines and independently priorities workload
  • Strong communication and administrative skills with an ability to demonstrate assertiveness as necessary
  • Willingness to work under pressure
  • Ability to work with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and to work with them to set and achieve goals
  • Ability to organise self and teams work
  • Confident in developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Our picturesque office in Denham, Buckinghamshire is easily accessible on the A4/M40. Alternatively, many of our employees commute from London – there are regular trains from London Marylebone taking approx. 20 – 35 minutes, or the Metropolitan or Piccadilly tube lines go to Uxbridge where we provide a free shuttle bus.
