Events Team Coordinator

Post Reference: HOSP40

Hours: 37 Hours per week to include evenings & weekends on a rota basis.

Salary: £16,989 per annum which is scale 4 Point 21 on the Support Staff Salary Scale.

Job Purpose: To support the Events Team Lead in promoting and managing profitable business conferences, seminars, exhibitions, weddings (including civil ceremonies) and all additional social occasions. To provide support in the provision of college functions and events.

Vision: We are looking for an enthusiastic person to support the existing hospitality team in the provision of weddings, conferences & social events. You will have the ability to proactively promote the brand and our beautiful venue to maximise revenue. You will bring with you excellent communication skills at all levels and be adept at identifying customer needs and providing solutions to match these. You will be organised, have exceptional attention to detail and the desire to go the extra miles for our clients.

You will have:

  • At least one years’ experience in a wedding and events role (sales or operational capacity)
  • Customer Service focus, delivering excellence at all times
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Previous experience and motivation towards meeting set targets and goals
  • A practical and confident approach to problem solving
  • A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • A good understanding and previous experience running events and conferences.

You will be:

  • Highly motivated, proactive and reliable
  • Calm under pressure
  • Available to work up to 37 hours per week including evenings, weekends and bank holidays
