Are you looking to work for an innovative and future focused service? Somewhere that invests in you and your career, where you can achieve a great work-life balance?
We are looking for a School Nurse to join our integrated 0-19 School Nursing team on the Isle of Man.
Our service is split into two hubs, our Public Health team and a Safeguarding team, which allows for each area of the service to receive the support they require. This role is based in the Public Health team, however your skillset in safeguarding would be maintained, as our teams work closely together and you’d have opportunities to rotate throughout both teams.
What will a career with us offer you?
Here you’ll step away from NHS pressures and demands. The Islands’ health service is similar to, but separate to the UK NHS, meaning we have the ability to adapt our services to the needs of our Islands’ young people. This includes the ability to contribute to producing public health legislation and drive forward our new model for school nursing. If you’re someone with great ideas, who enjoys improving services, you can be confident that you’ll be joining a team where innovation is encouraged, and where your ideas will be listened to.
You will have access to excellent development facilities and support, including our on-site education & training centre Keyll Daree.
You’ll also receive a competitive salary with incremental pay progression and excellent holiday entitlement. We have created a downloadable document, Our Benefits - A Quick Guide; have a read to see what other benefits you could enjoy whilst working for us.
What about the island and relocating?
On the Island you can enjoy a great quality of life! If you like walking, mountain biking or kayaking, there are lots of places you can explore. You'll also be able to enjoy the great range of cafes, restaurants and bars the island has as well!
We also offer interview expenses and a relocation package of up to £7,000, alongside subsidised accommodation and housing assistance.
You’ll keep more of your hard earned salary, as the Isle of Man offers a National Insurance Holiday Scheme. This means you can apply for a refund on National Insurance contributions for your first year of living or returning to the Isle of Man.
