General Responsibilities

Job Purpose

The primary mission of the project manager function is to support the growth of Dollar / Thrifty / Firefly brands through managing cross functional, multi-channel projects that drive brand revenue, awareness, innovation, and positioning of new products and services. This position supports all functions related to Dollar, Thrifty, and Firefly brands including planning and implementation of projects while measuring goals and effectiveness.

Key Result areas

  • Serve as project liaison with internal key stakeholders and external partners
  • Support implementation of brand marketing initiatives (sample projects could include: new product development, implementation of brand strategy, innovation, digital activations, facilities and uniform projects, vendor relationships and partnership activations). Execute against initiatives and development efforts to ensure growth of Dollar, Thrifty, and Firefly brand revenue. Deliver against objectives and partner cross-functionally to track, measure, and report performance
  • Provide expertise on project initiation & definition, requirements and process work flows, planning and execution, and post implementation support
    • Track the project’s budget, monitoring expenditures and costs and delivering to agreed costs
    • Development of project scope and plan to include the tracking of schedules and detailed project plans for all deliverables
    • Track project milestones, identify problem areas, and coordinate corrective actions
  • Monitor, review and provide cadence of reporting and results of projects
    • Timely communication with Operations, Marketing, Revenue Management, Sales, Corporate Communications and key stakeholders in all relevant areas of the project or initiative is paramount
  • Develop an ability to build strong trusted partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Support ad hoc requests as needed

Job Dimensions

Supports all functions related to key brand marketing projects including the planning and implementation of projects while measuring goals and effectiveness

Educational Background

Bachelor's degree from four (4) year college or university; or five (5) to seven (7) years’ experience related in Project Management and/or Marketing or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Professional Experience

  • 2-4 years’ experience in marketing, sales, or operations role with relevant experience
  • Analysis and Performance Analytics
  • Previous project management, consulting or strategy experience a plus

Knowledge

  • Relevant travel industry and / or rental car industry qualifications are preferred
  • Understanding of Financial Reporting & Financial Statements
  • Analysis and Performance Analytics

Skills

  • Demonstrated success in managing projects with proven track record of delivering results aligned with corporate goals
  • Strong interpersonal skills and consensus-building capabilities to align teams with varying priorities to drive positive outcomes
  • Proven track record of creative writing skills to promote projects, as well as optimize content and assets
  • Experience influencing leaders across cross-functional and partner teams, and managing internal / external relationships
  • Comfortable engaging with key stakeholders and senior leadership, as well as executing projects across multiple teams
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills including ability to identify issues and provide solutions
  • Effective organization and time management skills with ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines
  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint skills – ability to analyse data efficiently and create senior-level reports to communicate strategic recommendations and outcomes
  • Action-oriented thinking, ability to understand and interpret analytical reports/research to make a decision
