As a Project Management Analyst,you will be an integral member of the Global Sales Support team and collaborate cross functionally with our primary stakeholders in the global Power Systems organisationto develop processes, software systems and tools that support Project Management, Engineering, Finance and Salesteams. You will be working within a dynamic environment, supporting and leading projects, working closely with multiple functions, creating both non-technical and technical solutions.
Support and improve Functional Excellence strategy, processes and tools for Project Management;
Create and maintain procedures, work instructions and training material
Core team member in the implementation of key projects within the broader Global Sales Support function and in cross-functional projects
Lead small sub-teams within a major project implementation
Support the maintenance of data quality within our platforms and tools
Use Six Sigma as a problem-solving methodology to drive continuous improvements
Lead a Corporate Responsibility initiative in partnership with our local Community partners in Kent
Embrace the Company values and mission, representing and promoting of Cummins Power Systems
Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement methodologies and tools
Various soft and business skills training
Formal and informal coaching on business and personal development skills.
Basic understanding of the relationships and balance between the Project Management fundamentals of Scope, Schedule and Resources to successfully plan and deliver projects
Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail
Able to define and solve problems in a disciplined and methodical manner
Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word. MS Project (or other Scheduler) skills preferred but not essential
Strong organisational and time management skills
Flexible and proactive attitude with a desire to learn and take on new responsibilities
To be eligible for our 12 Month work placement you must be a university student who has a placement year option as part of their degree programme. You will spend a year in a specific department to gain real experience in your subject area. You are supported by formal and informal training, and work on projects that add true value to the business.
