The Governing body are recruiting a Primary Teacher to join their welcoming school. The role will be to begin from February 28th 2020 and will involve full ownership of the classroom. The successful applicant must have recent experience in the classroom and be able to effectively manage behaviour and also improve standards in the classroom. You will be able to plan and assess according to the Lancashire Assessment Framework and use this to move children on with their learning.
The Head teacher well respected by children, parents and staff and holds an excellent reputation within the local area. As a new member of staff, you will be given a full induction and supported through out the year. Newly Qualified Teachers are welcome to apply and will also be supported thoroughly through the year. The Head teacher will only consider candidates with excellent Curriculum knowledge and candidates with the 'spark' needed to fully engage the children in class.

As a Year 5 teacher, you will work collectively with the KS2 team to ensure children are engaged in their learning and happy to come to school. You will offer good opportunities to challenge the children in the class and ensure they are able to meet their expected age-related levels. Furthermore, you will be expected to engage in the wider school community and attend school meetings and staff INSETs.
The school is currently in a good position in terms of the progress made throughout the year groups, Ofsted are happy to grade them as GOOD and the Head teacher is keen to move the staff forward in order to gain OUTSTANDING status.
