Due to the continued growth of Valorum Care we are now looking to appoint a Management Accountant, working from our Ellesmere Port Office. This is an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified). Working as a key member of the finance team within a high growth Plc.
**Summary of Role:**
Reporting to the Financial Controller and taking responsibility for the production of the monthly management accounts for two Brands within the Group. This is predominantly a stand-alone role and will suit someone who likes to take control of their own work and deadlines, whilst at the same time being supported remotely by a central finance function. The role will be split 4 days in Ellesmere Port and 1 day in Head Office (Salford), although during Month End and busy times the travel to Head Office will be reduced.
**Duties / Responsibilities:**
* Prepare the monthly management accounts complete with commentary and present to the Financial Controller. * Prepare the monthly balance sheet reconciliations taking responsibility for all accounts and balances. * Continuous improvements of the financial controls to streamline processes and reduce errors and inconsistencies. * Working with the local management team to drive profitability and assess business development opportunities. * Work with the Head Office and shared services function to continuously develop processes and improve the information provided. * Provide ad-hoc reports and supporting schedules for the Financial Controller as and when required. * Liaise with remote sites to develop relationships and gain credibility.
This is an important role for the company. Strong academics are essential as is the ability to operate at a senior level and gain credibility. It will suit an independent person, who is looking to advance their career and prove their ability to manage a stand-alone business entity.
**Key Credentials Required:**
* ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified. * Ability to work accurately and independently, manage your own time and workload and deliver information to tight timetables. * Strong communication and relationship building skills. You will be able to effectively challenge and always looking to improve processes. * Highly IT literate: Microsoft Excel – Advanced. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
This role will be busy and will require flexibility around working hours. It may also require some travel within the UK.
