My client is one of the largest, independent and privately owned companies specialising in security solutions, facilities management, environmental protection and recruitment within the UK, Ireland and South Asia. They have a turnover of £100m plus. They are currently looking to recruit an experienced Skills Coach at Epsom Head Office. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled training professional to join a forward-thinking business and play an integral role guiding learners through the completion of their Apprenticeship standards. You would be joining a highly regarded business, where people work hard and are encouraged to excel.
The Role As part of the company's Skills Centre you would be tasked with working closely with individuals supporting their apprenticeships and ensuring timely completion of Apprenticeship standards. Key tasks will include…
* Visiting learners in the workplace, carrying out high quality assessments and reviews
* Delivering Functional Skills training in line with industry requirements
* Manage and maintain learner online portfolios
* Assist in the development of training content across all standards
* Understand and adhere to safeguarding, health & safety, equality and diversity regulations
The Candidate The ideal candidate must have previous experience delivering level 2-4 training in Customer Services, Team Leader, Hospitality and leadership and management, with appropriate assessing or IQA qualifications. A proven track record of meeting targets and achieving deadlines within the training / education sector is essential. You must have a good general education; have experience of working with Microsoft packages, be able to follow written and verbal instructions, with excellent communication skills. You should be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines and have a methodical and organised approach to work, both individually and as part of a team. Ideally candidates will be based in the Surrey/London area. Whilst there is 50/50 split in the role between visiting learners and being home based, it would be beneficial if the candidate can visit the office (Epsom) fairly regularly for meetings/updates. The learners are spread over many counties, but the majority in southern areas are in London and surrounding counties, so it would be easier for them to visit learners if they are based centrally.
