My prestigious client is looking for an experienced Receptionist.

As the face of the company , your role will involve running the Head Office reception desk, as well as ensuring that a high level of customer service is always delivered and maintained, regardless of who is in the Reception area.

You will meet and greet clients, visitors and contractors to our Head Office site. Answer and transfer various phone calls via the main switchboard; carry out administrative tasks and co-ordinate a number of activities from the Reception desk.

To provide a professional and helpful service to all visitors, customers and suppliers.

Assisting all staff to ensure adherence to company processes and procedures.


  • Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive on site
  • Providing Health & Safety overview upon visitor's arrival
  • Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
  • Direct visitors by maintaining employee and department telephone directories.
  • Maintain security by following visitor procedures; monitoring Sky Visitor; issuing visitor badges as required; control of master keys for site
  • Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable
  • Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
  • Report on call statistics
  • Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries
  • Update calendars and schedule meetings/room bookings
  • Arrange travel and accommodations
  • Maintain catering stock levels and order as appropriate
  • Manage Access for different sites for current employee's.

The Receptionist is a part of the HR Team, so additional administrative support on a day to day basis is required for this role.

Excellent IT skills - Microsoft packages - Word, Outlook, Excel, Visio, and Powerpoint, inc Internet and search engines

Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. printers)

  • Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role

Excellent manner when speaking with external and internal customers both on the phone and in person

  • Ability to be, tactful, resourceful and proactive when issues arise
  • Excellent attention to detail, in all aspects of work carried out
  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks in a face paced environment
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Full, clean driving licence for use of pool cars
  • Good grasp of spelling and English grammar


  • RSA Typing Stage 2 or demonstrable equivalent levels of competence
  • GCSE Maths and English Grades A-C

Fixed Term Contract, Full time (40 hours)
