My client is privately owned and were set up in the mid 1980’s. They have grown organically. Starting as a contract cleaning company, they now provide a broad range of FM services. They primarily operate in the South East of England being particularly strong within the M25. Their client base is in the main a mix of commercial, NHS and educational establishments. They have a strong management team and robust systems and are therefore are primed for further growth. I am on their behalf currently looking for an Account Manager to work on a London wide account. The account has some sites that work 24/7 at over 80 locations, they meet their needs by providing a high standard of Cleaning Operatives to deliver daily cleaning on all sites which are either 4; 5 or 7 day operations, with multiple shift patterns. My clients work closely with their Estates Department, Station Management and IPC teams to ensure they deliver the contracted requirements and actively introduce new ideas, operating methods and processes which will benefit the client. They have a team of multi-skilled mobile operatives to deliver planned Periodic Deep Cleaning service consisting of the following: Carpet Cleaning, Floor Polishing, Window Cleaning, Garage Station Floor Deep Cleans and High-level cleaning. The client also provide additional specialist cleaning tasks such as IT cleaning and Deep Cleans. The Account Manager’s role has the following duties:

  • Plan; Organise and Control the Operational Delivery to our clients premises.
  • Develop and Maintain excellent Customer Relations.
  • Ensure that Client queries are dealt with effectively and quickly ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Ensure that quotes for Ad Hoc Work are dealt with in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that the Monthly report is completed on time.
  • Recruit; Induct & Train new Cleaning Operatives.
  • Ensure that all monthly Audits are complete on time and any failed Audits have an Action Plan completed within 48 hours.
  • Motivate and provide re-fresher training to existing employees on an annual basis.
  • Ensure full adherence to Company policies and Procedures.
  • Ensure that Budgets are adhered to.
  • Ensure that monthly Worksheets are collated and returned by the appropriate deadlines as per payrolls instructions.
  • Ensure that Cleaning Materials; Consumables and Equipment on site are properly controlled, managed, maintained and available for use.
  • Ensure that all Employees report to work in uniform and are smart.
  • To ensure that Site Specific Security Procedures are followed correctly.
  • Carry out Monthly Talk Box Talk’s.
  • Identify areas of Improvement within your business area in relation to productivity.
  • Deal with Staff Performance; Disciplinary issues in line with Company Procedures.
  • Carry out Health & Safety Audits.
  • Represent the Company in a professional manner at all times.

The successful applicant will require the following skills:

  • Self-motivated with Professional Demeanour and excellent Interpersonal/Customer Service and communication (Verbal/Written) Skills
  • Previous Management experience and of working at Multi-Site Locations
  • Prepared to work flexibly to meet the demands of the role
  • Strong Leader who empowers their team and gets the best out of them
  • Competent IT Skills – use of MS Word and Excel and accurate Data Recording
  • Full Clean Driving License
  • Working knowledge of ISO Processes and Procedures.

This role is Monday to Friday, with overall management responsibility of both the day / evening and mobile teams. Occasional evening and weekend working required.

Salary £38k, car allowance, laptop, mobile, pension scheme and 20 days holiday
