We love what we do and are recognised as an award winning charity for our passion and dedication. Join us as a Support Worker in Abingdon and you'll soon see why!
We provide specialist support for three young men at a small residential service in Abingdon who all have learning disabilities and autism. You will find this job particularly relevant if you have an interest in psychology, or want to make a career working with people on the autistic spectrum. We will provide you with full training in positive behaviour support approaches, along with help and advice from a Senior Support Worker and the Frontline Manager.
You can choose from either a full-time (37.5 hpw) or part-time (negotiable) role.
You'll take your turn working shifts on a rota, including days, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
Holding a full manual driving licence in order to drive the service motability vehicle is essential so you can drive the service vehicle and transport the guys around the local area.
The work can be demanding and doesn't suit everyone, but if it's right for you, you'll find it incredibly rewarding and valuable.
