Do you have experience as a team leader or supervisor in a customer facing environment? Would you like to make a difference to patient care within the NHS?

Facilities Service is part of the Estates and Facilities Directorate, delivering in-house soft FM services within Essex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, this post will be covering our in-patients units within Rochford

Your day-to-day activities will include:

  • Managing a team of FM staff who are responsible for duties, including - cleaning of wards and general areas to ensure a safe, effective and compliant cleaning service; regenerating and serving food to our patients during mealtimes
  • Completing relevant checklists and other paperwork related to the role
  • Managing staff in line with Trust policies and procedures; including absence, annual leave and performance
  • Supporting new employees into the team

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience of supervising a team
  • Be able to exercise effective leadership skill in managing the performance and directing the FM team.
  • Have a friendly, approachable personality, with a good work ethic
  • Be flexible to undertake a range of tasks if necessary
  • Be able to communicate with different types of people; including patients, visitors, senior managers and other departments

You will also form part of the supervisory relief and will be required to cover for leave and absence across all clinical/ward areas, you must have a flexible approach to your working day to deliver the needs of the cleaning service. Hours are typically 07.00 to 15.00 Monday to Friday.
