Your new school

Kingsway Park High School opened in September 2010 in a purpose built, state of the art building with high quality facilities and resources. The school is a forward thinking and reflective learning community which ‘successfully brings together pupils from a wide range of backgrounds, races and cultures’ (Ofsted 2017).

Leadership is strong and effective within the school and there is an established ethos where ‘every pupil is valued’ (Ofsted 2017). The students’ behaviour is good and positive attitudes to learning are evident throughout the school ensuring that staff can focus on delivering excellent teaching and learning, and ensuring students continue to make good progress.

The staff members work collaboratively and strive to achieve outstanding, high quality teaching that provides a safe, supportive and encouraging environment for all students.

The department.

The Art/Creative Textiles Department is a small but successful department. The facilities for Art/Creative Textiles and Photography are excellent and there are 3 dedicated Art/Textiles/Photography classrooms that are fully kitted out with the appropriate resources to teach and deliver Art, Creative Textiles and Photography. Art and Creative Textiles are well established. The GCSE Photography is a fairly new course (2018).
