The Role - PRU Teaching Assistant
This Pupil Referral Unit requires a PRU Teaching Assistant to join them ASAP on a long-term basis. As a PRU Teaching Assistant you will be required to assist the classroom teacher with daily classroom duties and you will also be required to support students on a 1:1 basis. Due to the nature of the students you must have a confident and resilient approach and must be able to think on the spot and use your own initiative should a challenging situation occur. To be considered for this PRU Teaching Assistant role it is desirable to have restraint training and also have a DBS on the update service.
The School - PRU Teaching Assistant
This Pupil Referral Unit is located in the heart of Southwark and is situated next to easily accessible public transport links. This Pupil Referral Unit caters for 48 students between the ages of 11 - 16 with behavioural difficulties and who have been excluded from mainstream school. This Pupil Referral Unit was recently graded as good with outstanding features in their recent Ofsted inspection.
