This job supports the effective functioning of the Domestic Abuse Family Safety Unit which is Council provision for people affected by domestic abuse. The Unit has two bases and two key functions - staff in Congleton support people at high risk while the Crewe team is the first point of contact for any referrals. The post holder loads referrals, checks and maintains systems, responds to people with queries and generally ensures the smooth running of the office. The post holder may be largely based in one or other site but will need to understand and share the work at both bases at times of pressure and respond to any requirement related to these roles.Cheshire East is an amazing place to live and work. The Council's Domestic Abuse Family Safety Unit needs an administrator who can live the Council's values of flexibility, innovation, responsibility, service and teamwork while delivering excellent business support through strong IT skills. The Unit has two busy bases in Congleton and Crewe and the successful candidate will support practitioners to continue to deliver a quality safeguarding service across both bases. It is vital to be able to communicate well with both professionals and those affected by abuse and to have the emotional resilience and attention to confidentiality involved in handling sensitive data.
